J.E.D.I. Wings Program

Expanding access to aerial arts through Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

The mission of Sky Craft’s J.E.D.I. Wings Program is to promote Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the aerial arts by removing barriers to participation and creating opportunities for all youth to experience the transformative power of flight.

We believe that aerial arts can build confidence, connection, and community, helping young people discover their own strength, creativity, and sense of belonging.

Why It Matters:

The J.E.D.I. Wings Program is rooted in the philosophy of Social Circus: the use of circus arts as a tool for personal growth and social transformation.

Social Circus recognizes that learning to balance, climb, and spin requires not only physical skill but also trust, courage, and collaboration. When a young person learns to turn themselves upside down, to lift themselves off the ground, or to demonstrate a skill to their classmates, they experience the dismantling of fear and the discovery of their own capability. These moments become powerful metaphors for overcoming personal and social limitations.

Around the world, Social Circus has helped youth from diverse backgrounds build bridges across differences - religious, racial, and economic - by creating shared experiences that transcend circumstance. It teaches participants to define themselves not by the labels or limitations society gives them, but by the strength, grace, and resilience they find in the air and within themselves.

At Sky Craft, we carry that same vision forward by cultivating a youth aerial community where every child feels seen, supported, and capable. The J.E.D.I. Wings Program expands access to aerial arts as a means of growth and connection, where learning to climb a silk or balance on a trapeze helps young people build trust, empathy, and resilience both in the air and beyond.

There are currently 2 ways to give:

1. Purchasing tickets to Golden Hour on November 9th. Proceeds from ticket sales directly support the J.E.D.I. Wings Program, which expands access to aerial arts for youth in our community.

2. If you can’t attend the show, but would like to help us grow this program, you can make a gift to the J.E.D.I. Wings Program at any time. Gifts of any amount help us provide tuition support, performance opportunities, and a welcoming space where all kids can experience the magic of aerial arts.
Gifts can be made securely online (payment link coming soon!) or in person at our front desk.

Please note: Gifts made to the J.E.D.I. Wings Program are not tax deductible.
